Empowerment for Gay People in Africa:
Your sexuality is not a barrier to succeed in Africa.
In many African countries, gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender individuals often struggle with low self-esteem simply because of who they are, leading some to feel like failures. But know this:
You have the right to go to school, to graduate, to work, and to earn a living.
You have the right to live authentically and proudly.
You can achieve anything you set your mind to.
Your identity does not limit your potential.
You don’t need drugs to cope or to fit in.
You are capable of rising above the stigma, to do better, be better, and stay better.
